And relating is dictated by your nervous system states, relational patterns learned from childhood and the skill of repair.

Relational skill does.

I'm offering what my husband and I needed before marriage, not after.
We got married in 2020. Our 'premarital counseling' said we were compatible. And it's true — we are.
But we quickly discovered that, not only does compatibility not equip you to handle the shit that will hit the fan, it also doesn't equal a incredible marriage. It doesn't equal intimacy and connection.
Let me say that again:
Compatibility does not create intimacy and connection.
How you relate does.
It wasn't until after we got married that we discovered true intimacy, authenticity, joy and connection is cultivated through relational living. It's not a by-product of compatibility.
And relational living takes skill.
Now, thanks to our own journey, our marriage's baseline is incredible and it has only gotten better from there.

My intention for this experience is to swim upstream, before the literally insane divorce rates, to offer pre-marriage folks the tools, skills and experience of relational living so that your marriage can baseline incredible and just gets better from there.
